Heti palmikoiden alkaessa oli tullut virhe, jota ei voi antaa anteeksi. Yritin purkaa vain siihen asti, mutta silmukoiden uudelleen puikolle keräämisessä kokonaisina meinasi mennä hermot. Se ei tietenkään ole harrastuksen tarkoitus, joten katsoin paremmaksi purkaa kerralla alkutekijöihin asti.

Right at the beginning of the cables I noticed an unforgivable mistake. I tried to rip just enought to be able to correct it, but it was far too nerve-racking to try to pick the stitches without breaking them, so I decided to rip the sock totally.

Tuo kasa joutaa nyt hetkeksi huilaamaan, ihan heti en siihen uudelleen tartu. Vielä joku päivä ne baijerilaiset kuitenkin syntyy, *kele.

That clump of yarn is going to get some rest now, I'm not touching it for a while. But some day I'm going to knit the socks, that's for sure.
