Tänään oli hyvä lankapäivä. Näyttää siltä, että suuri osa kanssaneulojista laihduttaa näin helmikuussa, joten miepä päätinkin tehdä poikkeuksen sääntöön ja tilata lisää lankaa, ettei lankafirma aivan kuihdu ja kuole pois! Osaavat muuten pakata 1,9 kg keriä yllättävän pieneen laatikkoon. Lisäksi sain tuliaisina itärajan takaa 100g aivan ihanan pehmeää ja ohutta (100g = 500m) lankaa, jossa ilmeisesti on 50% joitain kuitua ja 50% jotain toista - siihen venäjän kielen taitoni sitten loppuikin. Onneksi lähisukulaiseni on joskus kehunut opiskelleensa kieltä - pääsee siis piakkoin käännöspuuhiin, etteivät taidot aivan ruostu! Saldo tältä päivältä siis tasan +2kg - aikamoinen saavutus.

It was a good yarn day today. It seems that a big part of fellow knitters in Finland are trying to loose weight (use existing yarns and avoid buying any), so I decided to do the opposite and order more yarn to prevent a Finnish yarn company from fading away and dying! By the way, they are experts in packing 1,9kg balls in a surprisingly small box. In addition, I got 100g absolutely soft and thin (100g=500m) yarn as a present from Russia. There is apparently 50% of some fiber and 50% of some other fiber in the yarn - that's how far my Russian skills go. Luckily one of my relatives has once bragged that she has studied the language - now she's got a translation stint ahead of her quite soon to make sure her skills don't grow rusty! So the total amount today is +2kg - quite an achievement.
